Cityscape

Today I feel distant like the roads in Peeragarhi
And sometimes, ambivert, like winds in Mayur Vihar
At times, nostalgic, like the clouds in Valsad
And as discreet as  Civil Lines
But there are times when I'm exuberant like Mandi House
Today I feel distant like the roads in Peeragarhi

And at times, effervescent, like Parliament Street
There are times, I wish to be as vibrant as Janpath
Because I was as mellow as Minto Road
Although I crossed the friendly Gole Market covered in brick red and greys
I still feel like the distant roads in Peeragarhi
I'm glad I didn't cross the deceitful Lakshmi Nagar
And sometimes wish we'd hold hands like Janakpuri and Noida
To finally converge at Rajiv Chowk
I go back and forth and round about
Only, to feel distant like the roads in Peeragarhi
